WHAT THIS IS

When support, sales, and admin all receive part of the same question, the customer experiences the gap between them.

THE CLIENT STORY / OARC DELIVERY

From pressure to
visible progress.

Every case starts with the client challenge, shows what OARC delivered, and makes the resulting shift easier to understand.

CLIENT CHALLENGE / CASE FRAMEThe primary case visual introduces the client problem and its working context.

01 / CLIENT CHALLENGE

A useful answer was trapped in the handoff.

Meridian begins with a common retail tension: a customer asks one question, but the answer is distributed across product, service, sales, and fulfilment teams. The issue is not the volume of messages. It is the missing context at the next handoff.

ORIGINAL ROUTING ARTEFACTAn original OARC model of a customer-question handoff. It is not a live retailer workflow.

02 / WHAT OARC DELIVERED

Route the question with its context intact.

The original system sorts a request into three deliberately different paths: resolve a routine need, qualify an active sales conversation, or escalate a consequential exception to an accountable person. Each pathway carries the detail needed for the next action.

03 / WHAT THE WORK ACCOMPLISHED

Automation ends where responsibility begins.

Meridian is not a concept about replacing the person who owns a customer relationship. It is about making that person easier to reach at the moment their judgment matters.

MERIDIAN RETAIL RESPONSE sits inside the same implementation practice: strategy, creative production, digital delivery, and accountable optimisation working together.
WHAT IT IS

What does MERIDIAN RETAIL RESPONSE explore?

MERIDIAN RETAIL RESPONSE is an OARC client project of customer-support and sales workflow design. It explores how a retailer could carry the context of a question from the channel where it arrived to the person or process that can responsibly resolve, qualify, or escalate it.

THE BUSINESS QUESTION

Start with the pressure.

Where does a customer question lose its owner, context, and urgency as it passes across teams?

HOW OARC BUILT IT

Make the next decision clearer.

The scenario separates routine resolution, active-sales qualification, and consequential escalation. Each route carries the original question, relevant history, reason for the next action, and a named accountability point instead of treating every message as identical automation input.

WHAT THIS STUDY PROVES—AND DOES NOT

Keep the important detail in view.

The case shows OARC’s method for modelling an accountable response system through OARC artefacts and scenario logic. It does not document a retailer, customer messages, deployed workflow, customer-support KPI, or revenue result.

IF THIS LOOKS LIKE YOUR BUSINESS

Relevant if support and sales are speaking past each other

Use this study to evaluate whether your customer response process needs a clearer route, not as evidence of a finished retail transformation. A useful first project conversation begins with real channels, repeated questions, handoff failures, and the person who owns the consequential exception.

01Arrive

A customer question reaches the business through any channel.

The next team does not have to start from zero.
02Read

The system identifies the kind of response the question needs.

A routine issue is not treated like a high-value conversation.
03Route

The request moves toward the right type of action.

The customer gets a more appropriate next step.

A human receives the decision that requires accountability.

Human attention is reserved for the point at which it matters.

OARC DELIVERY ARTEFACT

A response system is a relationship system.

This visual is a deliberately abstract operations prototype. It shows the logic of a routed conversation and contains no client messages, data, or performance result.

THE DELIVERY, IN MOTION

Keep the context.

01Arrive

A customer question reaches the business through any channel.

The scenario collects the question, relevant history, and urgency into one view.

The next team does not have to start from zero.
02Read

The system identifies the kind of response the question needs.

Intent and context are separated from channel noise.

A routine issue is not treated like a high-value conversation.
03Route

The request moves toward the right type of action.

Resolve, qualify, and escalate are explicit paths—not hidden automations.

The customer gets a more appropriate next step.
04Own

A human receives the decision that requires accountability.

The handoff carries the history, the reason, and the unresolved question.

Human attention is reserved for the point at which it matters.

THE CLIENT PROJECT

The answers a person—and a search engine—should be able to find.

01What is Meridian Retail Response?

It is an OARC client project exploring how a retail organisation could connect customer support, sales qualification, and operational escalation in one accountable workflow.

02Is Meridian a client case?

No. Meridian is an original OARC concept study. Its brand, artefacts, and workflow are created to explain an approach, not to represent a real external retailer.

03What does the study make visible?

It shows the handoff problem, the routing logic, the human ownership point, and the intended customer-value path without inventing commercial results.

CLIENT PROJECT

The queue becomes a decision path.

Meridian Retail Response is an OARC client project. It demonstrates an operational design principle, not a deployed retailer transformation or a measured client outcome.
